Rey Nima (Darwin)

Maestro Darwin was born into one of the most powerful Shipibo healing lineages of the Shipibo-konibo community of Pahoyan, in the Peruvian Amazon.

Darwin is the son of Juana Silvano which is the niece of the well known brothers, Pascual, Gilberto and Benjamin, all members of the highly-respected curandero family, the Mahua family. Juana was raised by the uncles and was given their knowledge which she has passed over to Darwin. The Mahua Family are well known shamans for their strength, power and for their strong connection to the Noya Rao Tree (Tree of light) a Master Tree that lightens up our lives and path. Darwin’s Shipibo name is Rey Nima, “king of the plant world” which was given by the elders. As his name he has the strong ability to navigate plants through his profound Icaros.

Rey Nima felt his call as a healer at a very early age, at 8 years old he already started to participate in Ayahuasca Ceremonies. In his youth he started dieting Noya Rao, Bobinsana, Nihue Rao and Shihuahuaco which are his strong allies today. Darwin brings joy and humor during the day. During the night in Ceremony he is all about power and healing. He loves to work from the heart and help the participants to heal their hearts and find their inner power. He also values sharing the wisdom and knowledge with the ones that want to learn. Darwin also works with plant aromas and brings powerful Icaros that are channeled by the plant spirits.

He cares deeply about the healing journey of each and every person and brings great compassion and strength to our ceremonies. We are very delighted to have Maestro Darwin’s expertise, depth of wisdom and fun loving spirit with us in Espíritu Pandorita.
