Details of this retreat

The Cofán Bear Camps, is a 10-day experience in the Putumayo region, Colombia with the Elders of the Cofán people, one of the oldest and most preserved shaman traditions in the Amazon. Our host, Taita Oscar Queta, nephew of grandfather Taita Querubín Queta, a 109-year-old living legend who has dedicated his entire life to preserving his culture and defending the use of ancestral medicine in a traditional and sacred context. , as it has been done for thousands of years.

The space in which we stay is a farm well equipped to receive us and give us an experience of the jungle and nature, but with the necessary amenities to maintain a level of comfort and hygiene of the best level. There is no better place to have this experience and reach very high levels of understanding, awareness and above all the healing of our body, our mind and our emotions.

Schedule

From 7am there will be fruits and cereals. At around 9am breakfast is served. At 14:00 lunch is served. On ceremony days a light dinner is served around 5:00 p.m. and on intermediate days at 7:00 p.m. During the day there may be different activities such as trips to the river, to the waterfall, yoga classes, among others. The ceremonies begin around 10:30 p.m. and last all night, with the participation of the Taitas or Shamans in charge and their work team, musicians, and helpers. All this submerged in a natural environment, surrounded by trees and nature and at the same time a supremely safe and suitable place for all of us to experience a process of healing and liberation. At dawn the Taitas do a last healing to close the process and then the participants can have breakfast and rest.
